Using Eye Drops to Slow Myopia Progression

May 21, 2022 | Myopia

Using eye drops to slow myopia progression.

Atropine eye drops are another method used to control myopia progression They are special drops applied to eyes before bed. These are not commercially available and need to be made especially for patients at compounding pharmacies. We have arrangements with a specialised pharmacy that does this for us.

Atropine is used by itself or, more often, as a combined treatment with other myopia control technologies. It is effective at the correct dosage. There is some debate on what that dosage is and this is not settled.

Give us a call if you would like more information on these drops.
